Job Description
Location: New York, NYThe Game Designer will work with Puzzles & Games editors and the technology team to create games for The New Yorker that engage current subscribers and help us grow our audience. This person will be responsible for pitching and prototyping game ideas, driving the gameplay-testing process, and iterating on game designs based on feedback. The ideal candidate will have excellent creative judgment, an appreciation of The New Yorker's identity, strong communication skills, and a knowledge of the game industry. Although this is an editorial role, familiarity with digital game technology and product design is desirable. This is a Guild Position. Responsibilities:

The expected base salary range for this position is from $90,000 - $120,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
