Job Description
Mechanical Project Engineer I - Hay level 50 We are looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer I that will support the North American Warehouse Solutions Team. Vanderlande's Engineering Department is responsible for the design, specification, and commissioning of Material Handling Systems, Warehouse Automation and Parcel Sortationsystems for our customersthroughout North America. In this position, you will be working with an engineering project team in the development of an automated warehouse or parcel sortation system. You will be responsible for ensuring the design meets the customer requirements, is coordinated with other trades to minimize conflicts during installation, can be installed with efficiency, and maintain excellent communication with the site team. Success in this role involves the ability to balance the technical requirements of the role while also havingthe soft skills to collaborate with and motivate the engineering team. It also involves working closely withstakeholders from other disciplines and other departments to balance priorities, improve processes andsatisfy a complex set of goals. Success will require strong technical skills, creativity, strong interpersonalskills, drive, and passion. A successful candidate will demonstrate a keen intuition for when to attemptto solve problems on their own and when to enlist the help of other experienced leaders.
