Department:Military SciencesDepartment's Website: Summary of Job Duties:Duties:The Administrative Assistant Ill oversees the day-to-day operations in the Military Science Department: *completes and types various correspondence *maintains files in accordance with current Army Records Keeping Systems *researches student information on the UAPB College System *assists in the preparation and coordination of department events *assists in developing and/or revising policies, procedures, and directives based on research findings *compiles data relating to Electronic Personnel Security Questionnaires for security clearances for the Department of Defense Medical Examination Review Board *processes physicals *interprets institutional and program policies and procedures *maintains an appointment calendar *makes travel arrangements and maintains travel calendar for supervisor *compiles financial information to assist with budget proposals and monitors expenditures *directs preparation and filing of program documents with state and federal agencies *prioritizes correspondence *assists with training new personnel *will have regular contact with the Pine Bluff Arsenal, general public, students, and program related federal agencies *Workday access, to include ordering, request and maintain ROTC/UAPB budget *order printings, books, maintenance requests as well as any other UAPB specific programs utilized in day-to-day operations by "school/ department" *Occasional work other than previously listed may require ensuring program success such as access to the following systems as an alternate user at a minimum: UAPB postal services, Cadet Command Information Management Module (CCIMM), Defense Travel System (DTS), iPERMS, DOD MEDICAL EXAMINATION REVIEW SYSTEM (DODMERS); IPPS-A & ROTC Blackboard.
