Stellar Solutions is seeking a Mission Integration Engineering Lead - Advanced Fire Control (AFC) to l
ead the engineering efforts related to space-based sensing for time-critical target detection and fire control systems in support of SDA Tranche 3 Systems Integration.



Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications

Join the team getting systems engineering and integration development done at an accelerated pace for a government customer. We are looking for mission focused engineers accustomed to automated engineering, program and task management tools at senior and mid-career levels to anchor our larger team with their core strengths.

    Manage the development, integration, and testing of AFC systems that support rapid decision-making in defense applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that meet mission needs for time-sensitive target engagement.
  • Ensure that AFC systems meet performance and operational requirements, and troubleshoot issues during integration and testing phases.
  • Develop and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including system specifications, requirements, and test procedures.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers on the AFC team.

Required Skills

  • At least 10 years of experience in space-based sensing systems for time-critical targets, including development, integration, and testing.
  • Strong background in fire control systems and their application in space-based defense scenarios.
  • Expertise in sensor integration and real-time data processing.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex technical issues quickly.

Required Education:

  • Master's degree in a technical field

  • TS/SCI
  • Position location is Chantilly, VA with consideration for Aurora, CO

The typical pay range for this position is USD $165,000 - $210,000 per year, total package. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, and a full benefits package including a significant profit-sharing retirement savings plan.
