US:MD:HUGHESVILLE

PART TIME

PURPOSE:

We are seeking an energetic, responsible intern to join our growing organization. In this position, as a current accounting student, you will enhance your educational experience through the relevant work experience in the areas of account reconciliations, journal entry processing, and financial reporting.

THE JOB FUNCTION INCLUDES:

This list provides a general statement of duties to provide the intern with the opportunity to learn the standards within the industry and the cooperative. This list is not considered to be exhaustive and may be enhanced as processes change.

A. Assists in the review, analysis, reconciliation, and recording of transactions.

B. Assists in preparing and/or reviewing account reconciliations.

C. Assists in gathering data used in the completion of external financial reporting.

D. Assists in the annual budget process ensuring data is uploaded accurately into the accounting system.

E. Ensures timely processing of journal entries and provides accounting information and analytical support as required.

F. Provides support in the capital credits, treasury, and fixed assets area as needed.

G. Maintain good relations in all contacts with general public and coworkers.

H. Observes all safety rules.

REQUIRED SKILLS:




  • The student must be pursuing a major in accounting, business or finance.
  • Must be a United States Citizen
  • Must have the physical ability to perform the essential functions, duties, and responsibilities of the job which include, but are not limited to, walking, bending, sitting, lifting and carrying loads averaging 25 pounds.


This position pays$18.00/hr.
