Position Overview:
The City of Neenah is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Recreation Supervisor. This full-time leadership position offers an exciting opportunity to oversee a comprehensive, year-round recreation program for the City of Neenah. The Recreation Supervisor will be responsible for planning, budgeting, managing, and evaluating the programs, operations, and personnel for the Recreation Division. Areas of responsibility include youth and adult sports, leisure and enrichment programs, and outdoor facility management.

Our Mission: The City of Neenah Parks and Recreation Department's mission is to "Create Community Through People, Parks, and Programs." We are dedicated to providing diverse recreational opportunities that strengthen community bonds and promote healthy living.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Superintendent of Recreation in overseeing the year-round recreation program for the City of Neenah.
  • Supervise a full complement of part-time recreation staff.
  • Manage and coordinate sports leagues, sports clinics, special events, adult and youth programs, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Plan, budget, and evaluate recreation programs, ensuring quality service and community engagement.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Oversee outdoor facility management, ensuring proper maintenance and safe operations.
  • Collaborate with other city departments, community groups, and partners to enhance program offerings.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Park/Recreation Administration or related field.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of recreation program supervisory experience preferred.
  • Certifications: Certified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP) certification through the National Recreation and Parks Association preferred.
  • Other: Valid driver's license, or the ability to obtain a Wisconsin driver's license within 3 months.
Salary and Benefits:
  • Salary Range: $61,444.00 - $73,456.00, depending on experience.
    • Salary range reflects base to midpoint of the pay scale. Offers above midpoint require Council approval.
