About the role

Job Description

Reworld is seeking a self-motivated, entry-level Materials Compliance Specialist with a passion for sustainability and waste management. If you're eager to work with a leading waste services company and have a customer-focused mindset, we want you on our team! Position Responsibilities:

Qualified candidate would be responsible for quality assurance of Non-Hazardous Profiled Waste deliveries into Reworld Tulsa, Thermomechanical Treatment Facility (TTF). Person would report to the Tulsa Environmental Manager with a dotted line to the Tulsa TTF Manager. Primary duties include:

  • Follow the Material Compliance SOP and work with facility personnel to ensure that waste received meets the approved profile.
  • Ensure sampling procedures are in place and followed.
  • Receive and manage shipment paperwork, including use of EPA eManifest, as applicable.
  • Document all discrepancies and communicate with Customer Service and Material Profile Specialists to resolve problems discovered during waste inspection process.
  • Facilitate a solution-oriented approach to discrepancy resolution and long-term compliance.
  • Identify and catalog waste processing issues and develop strategic long-term solutions to ensure sustainable compliance.

Position Requirements & Qualification:

  • Customer Service-related experience.
  • Strong Attention to Detail.
  • Strong Communication Skills.
  • Computer competency a must.
  • Experience in the waste industry or related field, preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate how your actions support Reworld Values and Behaviors, including Safe and Inclusive Workplace, Delivering Results through Trust and Building Breakthrough Capabilities.

Physical Demands of the Role:

  • Work in waste receiving/tipping floor environment with proper PPE.
  • Ability to move drums and other containers within OSHA limits.
  • Operate a fork truck when necessary (will train).

Work Environment:

  • 80% Tipping Floor and facility.
  • 20% Office environment.
  • Some travel between local Tulsa sites and training.
