    Who You Are...

    As Systems Engineer, you will report to the Director of IT and be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company's Azure and infrastructure environment, ensuring performance, reliability, and security. This role will collaborate closely with managed services providers to maintain high availability of systems and provide level 2 support for all branch locations. Additionally, the incumbent will handle Azure support, server and network administration, while also providing escalated helpdesk support to internal users for technical issues related to the Limbach network and security architecture. This position requires a strong understanding of Azure cloud architecture and IT infrastructure, along with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems.

    Some examples of the work you might do includes:



    • Oversees the daily operations of the company's Azure environment, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and security.
    • Demonstrates solid knowledge of IP routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, ISIS, and EIGRP, Switching topologies, Wireless, SD-WAN, IPSec, TCP/IP, and HTTPS VPNs (IPsec, SSL and others), Ethernet for all branch locations across the Company.
    • Collaborates with managed services providers to maintain high availability, performance, and security of systems and infrastructure.
    • Serves as level 2 support for all branch locations, addressing escalated issues from helpdesk and ensuring timely resolution of technical problems.
    • Provides Azure platform support, including monitoring, administration, and troubleshooting of Azure resources such as virtual machines, storage accounts, networks, and databases.
    • Assists in the administration and maintenance of on-premise systems and ensures integration with cloud environments.
    • Participates in the planning and execution of Azure-based projects, including migrations, upgrades, and new service deployments.
    • Monitors system performance and troubleshoots outages or performance degradation to ensure business continuity.
    • Collaborates with the Director of IT Operations and other IT teams to ensure the alignment of cloud strategies with business objectives.
    • Serves as backup to the Infrastructure & Security engineer as needed.
    • Maintains system documentation, including configurations, procedures, and processes.
    • Provides helpdesk support to internal users, offering guidance and solutions for system and software issues.


    What You Need...



    • Proven experience as an Azure Engineer or similar role, with hands-on experience in Azure cloud services.
    • Strong knowledge of Azure architecture, including virtual machines, networks, storage, and security components.
    • Familiarity with IT infrastructure, including Windows servers, virtualization technologies, and networking.
    • Experience with IT helpdesk support, with a focus on resolving complex technical issues.
    • Understanding of managed services environments and the ability to work effectively with third-party providers.
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work with cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Must have a valid driver's license.
    • Must have a driving record compliant with the Company's policies and MVR requirements, and consent to ongoing driving record monitoring by the Company.
    • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, although the use of Zoom or other video conferencing applications to minimize travel and reduce costs is encouraged.


    Preferred Qualifications:



    • Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect).
    • Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Azure CLI, etc.).
    • Knowledge of network and security best practices in cloud and hybrid environments.

      Work Environment:



      • This position operates primarily in an office environment and routinely utilizes standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copiers, and filing cabinets.
      • The Company's Remote Work Policy is applicable to this position.


      Physical Demands:



      • In performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to talk, hear, perform the repetitive motion, and possess an appropriate degree of both visual acuity and manual dexterity.
