Overview

VTG is seeking an Acquisition Analyst III to support our customer, the Federal Retirement Thrift Savings Board (FRTIB). The Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board (FRTIB) administers the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP), a tax-deferred defined contribution plan similar to private sector 401(k) plans which provides Federal employees the opportunity to save for additional retirement security.

This is a 100% remote position!


What will you do?

  • Requirements Documentation - Support the program office in identifying the requirement details. Review requirement documents with the program offices for requirement validation and clarity, participate in pre-proposal conferences as necessary and obtain input from technical officials prior to preparation of the solicitation.
  • Pre-Solicitation Documentation - Support the program offices in the preparation of pre-solicitation documentation through collaboration with the responsible contracting officer. These documents include but are not limited to: the AP, Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE), market research, sole source documents, SOWs, SOOs, PWS, QASP, evaluation criteria, Justification & Approvals (J&As), Limited Source Justifications and/or other forms of documentation.
  • Proposal Evaluation Support - based on guidance from the Contracting Officer may provide support to program office as an advisor to the source selection team (SET) in reviewing proposals and supporting evaluation activities.
  • Tracking and Reporting on Procurement Activities -support the program office in tracking and providing status of procurement activities.
  • Knowledge Sharing Sessions - provide the knowledge sharing sessions supporting Acquisition Management which could include group/one-on-one sessions and on-site and/or via video-teleconference addressing all aspects of the acquisition lifecycle.
  • Process Improvements - provide recommendations and support the implementation of improvements/efficiencies within FRTIB acquisition and contracting processes.
  • Data collection which may include gathering and updating information from various sources and managing it in one central location.

Do you have what it takes?

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of experience (Federal, DoD Procurement, or Acquisition experience preferred).
  • Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
  • Expert MS Office skills.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Skills:

  • Master's Degree.
  • DAWIA Lvl 2 or 3/ FAC-C Lvl 2 / CFCM / CPCM / PMP.

VTG's estimated starting pay range is $70,000-$80,000 which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
