Job Description:

Job Summary
The Instrument and Electrical (I&E)Projects Technician assists the Projects Supervisor with management of multiple projects simultaneously in line with department and organizational objectives; assists Projects Supervisor with establishing project guidelines, progress tracking, and project objectives; and upgrades all organizational Operational Technology hardware and software components.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Projects Supervisor with management of multiple concurrent projects in line with organizational objectives

  • Use project governance standards and methodologies to ensure consistency and compliance across all projects

  • Assist Projects Supervisor with establishing project guidelines, progress tracking, and project objectives

  • Observe all project deadlines and budget to ensure successful completion within outlined project goal

  • Collaborate with other organizational departments and work teams to strategize or provide support

  • Collaborate daily with yard and field personnel to establish business needs

  • Document project processes, constraints, or identified risks and report findings to Projects Supervisor

  • Consistently communicate and coordinate with 3rd party vendors

  • Gather, interpret, and utilize data to optimize processes and resolve issues

  • Service PC components and build servers

  • Upgrade, install, configure, and troubleshoot all organizational OT system hardware and software

  • Maintain and operate OT systems controls (i.e., NOV, AMI, STW, and cRio controllers)

  • Work with Programmable Project Controls (PLCs), relays, and switches

  • Work with Advanced Measurements, Instrumentation, and Rolligon controls

  • Safely operate a company vehicle day or night, on various road types, and in all weather conditions

  • Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Other duties as assigned

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience working as an Oil and Gas industry Project Tech or Instrument and Electrical role

  • Minimum 1 year experience managing projects, preferred

  • PMP Certification, preferred, and may be considered in lieu of experience

  • High school Diploma, GED, or Equivalent, required

  • Maintaining a current, valid driver's license and a clean driving record, required

  • Working knowledge of AMI and NOV controls, preferred

  • Cybersecurity knowledge, preferred

  • Basic coding knowledge, preferred

  • Strong knowledge of project management governance (i.e., planning, budget forecasting, budget maintenance, progress tracking, materials tracking, etc.)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, can effectively interact with stakeholders, supervisors, vendors, and personnel at all levels of the organization

  • Highly organized with expert time management skills; can prioritize workload to meet deadlines

  • Highly collaborative; can work successfully with others to reach a common objective

  • Analytical with strong critical thinking skills; can gather, interpret, utilize, and organize data to obtain objectives

  • Strong trouble shooting and problem-solving skills

  • Must have strong working knowledge of computers and components

  • Must have basic knowledge of in C++, Python, PHP, JAVA, or HTML

  • Must have working knowledge of STW and cRio controllers

  • Must have working knowledge of PLCs, relays, and switches

  • Must understand voltages and have a working knowledge of 24v systems

  • Must have a strong working knowledge of updating OT system hardware and software

  • Proficient working in Microsoft Office 365 applications and able to quickly learn other work-related software

  • Must be physically able to safely lift 50 lbs. without assistance

  • Must be physically able to safely drive a company vehicle day or night, on various road types, and in all weather conditions
