VITA Site Manager - 8 Positions College of Business & Economics/ Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Salary Range: $20.00/ hour Work Schedule: This is a part-time position; Available every Saturday morning from 8:00 AM until 2:00 PM between late January 2025 and April 15, 2025. This position is not eligible for benefits. This is a temporary appointment expiring on or before September 30, 2025, with the possibility of renewal, contingent upon availability of funds. Position Overview: The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Staff (VITA) Manager position, under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, will provide tax assistance and administrative support functions for the VITA program. Day to day work is performed independently under general supervision. The incumbent will oversee free tax preparation services (federal and state) for eligible low-income taxpayers. The incumbent must demonstrate an interest or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the UAS. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or continued employment of current UAS employees who apply for the position.
