Report to: Warehouse Manager

FLSA/Compensation: Full Time; Non-Exempt

Duties & Responsibilities:

As a Meat Packer, you will be responsible for preparing and packaging meat products for distribution to our customers. This position requires a strong focus on quality, safety, and teamwork.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:



  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming products against purchase orders and quality standards.
  • Sort and organize products based on type, cut, and packaging and temperature requirements.
  • Package meat products into appropriate containers, such as boxes, bags, or trays, ensuring proper labeling and portioning.
  • Operate packaging equipment, such as scales, vacuum sealers, and labeling machines, safely and efficiently.
  • Follow standardized procedures for portion control, packaging, and labeling to maintain consistency and product quality.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure a steady supply of meat products for packaging and distribution.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper sanitation and hygiene practices, to ensure food safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Assist in inventory management by accurately recording quantities packaged and reporting discrepancies to supervisors.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of equipment and materials.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality concerns to supervisors promptly.
  • Participate in regular training sessions and workshops to stay updated on food safety regulations, packaging techniques, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Flexibility to work in different shifts, as needed, to meet production demands.
  • Other Duties as assigned



Education/Experience:



  • Education High school diploma preferred not required.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or food packaging environment is preferred but not required.


Skills & Qualifications:



  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards is a plus.
  • Ability to follow instructions and standardized procedures accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate to heavy objects.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks and priorities.
  • Willingness to learn and contribute to a safe and productive workplace.



Physical Demands/Equipment:



  • Independently lift up to 75 lbs frequently and 100 lbs rarely
  • Able to stand, walk, bend, squat on a frequent basis while on or off
  • Able to grasp, reach, push or pull (such as boxes of product, or a hand truck) on a frequent
  • May handle product 0 degrees to 50 degrees
  • May be exposed to dust, blood, and all chemicals used in meat processing
  • Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the
  • Able to stand for several
  • Ability to work in a noisy, refrigerated warehouse
  • Able to work while wearing appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for the job (such as steel-toe protective footwear, harness, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, insulated clothing, etc)
  • Ability to physically be near products which may contain food allergens (such as meat, fish, shell fish and etc.)



Pay Rate: $17.28
