Diesel Field Technician- Off Highway Equipment

Interstate Power Systems is looking for an Off Highway Field Equipment Mechanic/Technician(s) for our Altoona, Iowa location. We are currently seeking Diesel Mechanic/Technician(s) to join our team who are specializing in Freightliner, Detroit, Allison, Cummins, CAT products, MTU and more! We provide continued training, education, and certification opportunities to all Technician employees

This position is a Mobile (Field) position with some time working in-shop.

Diesel Mechanic/Technician Job Duties:

• Responsible for repairing, maintaining diesel engines and diesel components used in various vehicles and heavy-duty diesel equipment.
• Accurately and efficiently diagnose complex diesel engines and heavy-duty equipment conditions and make necessary repairs.
• Communicate effectively with peers, foreman, and service team regarding those repairs.
• Quality control work performed to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
• Keep paperwork updated and handed in upon completion.
• Meet requirements for certifications.

Diesel Mechanic/Technician Requirements:

• Valid Driver's license (Bonus compensation for CDL holders)
• Must possess a good work ethic, a positive attitude, and be reliable.
• Experience with diesel engine platforms desired such as Cummins, CAT, John Deere, MTU, Isuzu, International, and others.
• Other mechanical skills desired: Hydraulics, Brakes & Suspension, Manual Transmissions, Drive Train and Automatic Transmissions.
