Salary Range $41.29 Posting Date 12/24/2024 Union Yes FLSA Status Non-Exempt Shift Work Yes FT/PT Full-time Relocation No Travel Possible M1 is looking for an Electrical/Environmental Specialist: * Maintains electrical/environmental systems IAW technical data requirements. * Performs tasks under minimum supervision. * Coordinates maintenance activities with senior electric/environmental personnel as required. * Performs both on and off-equipment maintenance. * Troubleshoots electric/environmental systems to isolate malfunctions. * Makes necessary repairs, replaces assemblies, and makes adjustments as indicated during the troubleshooting phase. * Performs inspections and maintenance on electrical/environmental equipment. * Performs repairs of electrical/electronic and environmental systems. * Annotates maintenance actions in aircraft records and is knowledgeable in CAMS documentation. * Practices good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention, and safety at all times. * May be selected to perform special certifications including Red X inspections, if no qualified volunteers, then most qualified person may be selected. * May be assigned to maintain TO files, bench stock, shop stock, CTKs, or hazardous waste areas. * May be required to be qualified on different MDS aircraft. * Shall assist other personnel and work centers as directed. * Must promote Company values, policies, and standards of conduct. * Must be customer oriented and ensure professional coordination with Operations and other base agencies. * When assigned to a Sortie Generation Flight (SGF), required to be qualified in APG activities. * Shall perform other duties assigned to include TDY and travel. * Must be able to work day shift, night shift, or weekend duty as required. * Receives cross-utilization training and is qualified to perform those maintenance tasks. Additional Requirements: * A working knowledge of aircraft electrical/environmental systems and of the use of schematic diagrams, drawings, and charts is required. * Must possess a working knowledge of technical publications, maintenance directives, and maintenance forms. * High school diploma or the equivalent is required. * Specialized courses in aircraft electric/environmental systems are required. * Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. * A minimum of two years recent experience as an aircraft electrical/environmental specialist is required. * When assigned to SGF, recent experience for assigned aircraft is required. * Must be able to obtain and maintain a flight line driver's license and may be required to obtain and maintain a class CDL. * Physical exertion requirement is medium.
