In this role, you will be responsible for performing critical assembly operations to finalize the packaging of heart valve devices and other components. Your primary duties will include visual inspection, sterilization, testing, packaging, and labeling of products according to specified written guidelines. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a keen attention to detail, proficiency in repetitive assembly tasks, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency in a manufacturing environment.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Coating Technician to join our team. This role requires a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision to maintain and operate essential coating systems, including support equipment, PLC control systems, heating systems, and internal coater components. The technician will be responsible for monitoring coating operations, maintaining process records, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring product quality. This position also involves operating coating reactors, maintaining inventory, and assisting in process improvements and new product development. Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Perform daily and preventive maintenance on coating equipment.
  • Operate and troubleshoot computerized coating control systems.
  • Monitor the coating process and ensure product quality meets specifications.
  • Complete processing records and maintain documentation using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Maintain and operate support equipment, such as dust collectors, cooling systems, and gas supplies.
  • Work with management to identify and solve equipment or process-related issues.
  • Manage coating supply inventories and anticipate potential quality or supply concerns.
  • Assist in developing new products and process improvements.
  • Follow written procedures and maintain a strong understanding of the coating process and its impact on production.


Qualifications:



  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in GMP chemical processing or vacuum coating operations (pyrolytic carbon coating preferred).
  • Experience with PLC controls, electromechanical systems, baghouse systems, and cooling towers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and basic computer skills.
  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work 3rd shift and flexible hours, including overtime as needed.
