Position: Driver

The key function of the Driver is to operate official agency vehicles. Additional functions will include assisting in the promotion of client services, transporting clients to appointments and "hot spot" locations, and ensuring clients adhere to rules and program activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma, plus two years' experience as a driver.
• Must be familiar with the assigned driving area and possess a valid state driver's license with a safe driving record that meets agency standards.

Driver Principal Responsibilities:

1. Drive vehicles in a safe and prudent manner, arriving at destinations via the most efficient route.
2. Transport clients to and from agency designated "hot spots".
3. Check vehicles on a daily basis to ensure that they are in acceptable operating condition.
4. Maintain gas at one-half full and fill tank at end of day.
5. Complete required paperwork including daily logs and route sheets.
6. Assist in provision of direct care services and administrative support to program when not engaged in driving duties
