The Facilities Assistant supports facilities operations and office service functions to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of services and maintenance of the office's physical space. This role responds to general facilities and office maintenance requests and has production-related duties.

How You'll Help Our Team Succeed:

  • Respond and follows up appropriately to reports of facilities service request via integrated facilities management system and email.
  • Ensure orderliness in "common" areas including reception, conference rooms, pantries, kitchens, cafe, and restrooms.
  • Communicate janitorial service requests to the Senior Manager, Facilities and Administration and spot clean carpet, walls, and glass doors as needed.
  • Assist in maintenance inspections of facilities for safety hazards and regulation requirements.
  • Sort, log, and distribute mail and deliver packages.
  • Assist with set up and clean up (including catering and tables) for meetings, receptions, and special events.
  • Assist with office moves and prepare workstations for new employees.
  • Assist with production requests including copying/assembling binders and documents and communicating to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Maintain facility related spreadsheets and databases as needed.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

  • 1+ years of directly related general office, facilities, or administrative experience.

  • The desire to take initiative and actively contribute to the team and the firm.

  • The ability to communicate effectively and professionally.

  • Strong business acumen and the ability to learn the firm's financial and operational functions.

  • The mindset to provide superior service.

  • Must be able to operate basic hand tools.

  • Ability to assemble office furniture and equipment.

  • Basic computer skills and working knowledge of MS Office required.

  • High School diploma or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Cornerstone Research is offering a competitive market base salary for this position. A job offer and its corresponding salary will depend on one's geographic location, and how closely a candidate's skills, experience and education match the requirements for the role. At Cornerstone Research, we believe compensation is more than just a base salary. We offer a competitive total compensation package that includes an annual performance bonus and comprehensive benefits including a variety of healthcare plans, paid time off, transit subsidy, wellness benefits and retirement plan contributions.

Chicago: $43,100.00 - $56,000.00
