Tooling Sales Engineer

Description

Within the designated territory, promotes the sale of Amada Tooling and accessories. Support and maintain current tooling business to Amada customers, as well as penetrate and sell tooling to Amada accounts who buy from competitors tooling. Successfully utilize product knowledge to sufficiently make judgments involving engineering and product application to persuade potential buyers of the practical value of the product(s). Prepares tooling quotes and support existing Amada machine users. Responsible for providing a variety of staff services within their designated territory which would be Montana, Idaho, Utah and Colorado.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



  • Makes sales calls to established customers.
  • Provides status reports and call reports to Manager.
  • Quote and processes tooling quotes.
  • Keeps informed of product knowledge and pricing information.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.


NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



  • Prepare special reports, as needed.
  • Assist in miscellaneous duties within the department


SKILLS



  • Computer knowledge (word processing and spreadsheets).
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software products (e.g. PowerPoint and Excel) for use in Sales Presentations.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), detailed-oriented.


REPORTING RELATIONSHIP



  • Tooling Sales Manger

  • None


KNOWLEDGE



  • Engineering degree in a related field and/or equivalent sales experience.


    TRAVEL



    • Frequent travel
    • Territory - Montana, Idaho, Utah and Colorado.
    • Ideal location for candidate would be Denver, CO or Salt Lake, Utah.


    PAY RANGE Base Pay + Commission; estimated $70,000.00-$80,000.00/YR

    MENTAL



    • Ability to work harmoniously with others.
    • Ability to accept and follow instructions.
