Term: Summer of 2025 (flexible depending on school schedule)

Position Summary

Plug Power Inc. is actively seeking a highly motivated student to join our team. The student will be responsible for assisting the Air-Cooled Stack team in a wide variety of initiatives and projects in support of your academic studies and interests. Learning Objectives

  • Become familiar with the basics of fuel cell technology and the markets.
  • Gain practical experience in testing and data analysis in a product focused company.
  • Learn how to try and balance the need for quality data while achieving aggressive deadlines.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with the characterization of field test fuel cell stacks, analyzing data from the field and assigning root cause.
  • Set up and test single-cell and small-stack assemblies, evaluating different components for suitability in production stacks.
  • Help develop and execute accelerated stress tests to improve understanding of operating conditions and materials effects on MEA life.
  • Assist with lab system data collection and processing in support of new stack designs.

Education and Qualification

  • Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in any science or engineering program
  • Prior Internship or Co-op experience preferred
  • Must have reliable transportation to the office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Background/experience with statistical analysis
  • Possess solid hands-on approach to problem-solving
  • Computer and software systems skills as applicable to position including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task effectively
  • Demonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent follow-through
  • Must be driven and self-motivated
  • Must possess the highest ethical standards and a commitment to work quality

Estimated Base Salary Range:

$21.00 - $25.00
