Weekends Rotated had to work is a 6 Days Scheduled week

Position Summary:

Monitors and documents the adherence of the facility's Good Manufacturing Practices and SOP's. Makes rounds through production and processing areas of the facility to verify Halperns' GPM's. Assists and trains personnel. Completes daily assigned tasks.

Essential Functions:

  • Verifies HACCP monitoring.

  • Completes daily equipment verification for metal detection, scales, thermometers, and chemical dilution/strength.

  • Maintains Operational Sanitation for facility.

  • Assures facility GMP's are implemented and followed by all employees.

  • Performs group and individual training.

  • Organizes and files related documents.

Knowledge / Skills / Expertise:

  • Must be able to work in temperatures ranging from -10 to 45 F for extended periods of time.

  • Good written and oral communication.

  • Effective time management to accomplish all of the day's assigned tasks.

  • Should be extremely thorough and detail-oriented

  • Basic computer skills preferred.

  • Food Science certification or similar degree in a related field is preferred.

  • HACCP trained or certified preferred.

  • Safety training for warehouse machinery and PPE preferred.

  • If no formal quality assurance experience or training, then food production and/or distribution

experience is required.
