CDI Engineering Solutions is a multi-disciplinary engineering organization offering a full range of integrated engineering design, project support, procurement and construction management services to the energy and chemicals industries. Position Summary Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist provides daily site support through guidance in the Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security disciplines. Actively maintains and participates in the Intelius Management System and associated initiatives. Supports the site Voluntary Protection Program and team EH&S inspections. Manages the site Emergency System(s) inspection, testing, and preventative maintenance intervals, managing system deficiencies and repairs. Responsibilities Provide environmental expertise for facilities. Updating air permits and agency reporting requirements for facilities through transitions. Prepared and issued periodic reports. Worked with plant personnel to collect and prepare annual air emissions (AEI) data to be reported to required agencies. Maintained plant compliance and monitoring record keeping requirements. Provided support to ensure compliance with all RCRA requirements including Hazardous Waste storage tanks and Hazardous Waste collection compliance. Provided day to day regulator guidance. Serves as site technical/professional support on all Environmental, Health, Safety, Security and Emergency Response issues. Supports the line organization, plant functional teams and contractors in the field via direct involvement in routine and non-routine work activities. Be a visible presence in the field to promote good health and safety practices Deliver training on Health and Safety topics, as necessary Support operations on issues related to waste management. Interface with regulatory agencies, schedule any required testing, and provide additional follow-up documentation as required Interface with Industrial Park HES representatives, as necessary Qualifications 4+ years of experience within chemical manufacturing industry in EHS roles. Experience in environmental compliance/regulations. 2+ years of delivering training on Environmental, Health, and Safety Health topics to site teams. Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to develop PowerPoint presentations. Demonstrated Knowledge of Federal (EPA / OSHA) and State Environmental (TCEQ), Health, and Safety Regulation. Ability to effectively lead, influence, and do work across organizational boundaries, which include maintenance, operations, capital, and contractors. Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to develop PowerPoint presentations.
