WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: Join our Diagnostic Manufacturing Division (DMD) as a Blood Banking Reagent Technologist in the Serology manufacturing department. You'll work with an experienced team to produce FDA-licensed blood grouping reagents, blood banking devices, and rare antisera. Responsibilities include advanced manufacturing, processing, and testing procedures, as well as participation in special projects. The DMD team works collaboratively together, and you will become a part of the dedicated team that supplies the 44 Red Cross Immunohematology Reference Labs with quality, cost effective blood banking reagents. Comply with safety policies and procedures in the work area and use applicable protective equipment at all times to prevent exposure to potentially infectious blood and body fluids. Standard Schedule: Monday through Friday, dayshift 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. (No weekends or holidays) There will be an on-call requirement 3 to 4 times per year. The DMD is located in Gaithersburg, Maryland, which is close to Washington, DC Pay Information: The pay range for this position is: $32-$42/per hour. The compensation is based on your specific skills, education level, and how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. This position may be hired as a Technologist level I or II, depending on overall experience, experience in BB, licensure, and education. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED: Qualifications:
