Job Description:

Job Summary

The HSE Representative 1 performs compliance inspections (on-site and in the field) to ensure observance of the organization's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) environmental policies; documents and reports all occurrences of noncompliance with the organization's HSE polices; and regularly drives a company vehicle throughout the Permian and Delaware Basins (West Texas and New Mexico).

Responsibilities

  • Perform compliance inspections (on-site and in the field) to ensure all relevant parties observe the organization's HSE environmental programs, policies, and procedures
  • Coordinate routine hazard identification, inspections, safety compliance audits, behavior-based observations (BBS), Job Safety Environmental Analyses (JSAs), and defines appropriate mitigation steps
  • Monitor employee, contractor, and vendor compliance with the organization's HSE policies (i.e., SOPs, policies, work instructions, applicable governmental regulation requirements, etc.)
  • Document and report all occurrences of noncompliance with the organization's HSE policies, SOPs, and government regulations
  • Participate in site-specific safety stand down meetings
  • Maintain regular safety communication with organizational personnel
  • Collaborate with the organization's business unit leadership to improve safety awareness
  • Conduct the organization's Life Saving Rules Observations, use stop work authority when necessary, and perform immediate corrective action
  • Attend all required training and certification courses (i.e., HAZMAT, fluid end maintenance, etc.)
  • Transport injured personnel to medical facilities when requested by HSE Operations Supervisor or Manager
  • Safely drive a company vehicle day or night, on various road types, and in all weather conditions
  • Maintain compliance with HSE policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as an oilfield HSE Representative, or minimum 2 years' experience in oilfield operations, required
  • An Associate's degree or equivalent from an accredited college or technical school may be considered in lieu of experience
  • Maintain a current, valid driver's license and a clean driving record, required
  • English speaker, required (English-Spanish bilingual, preferred)
  • Must be willing to receive the organization's fluid end maintenance training, required
  • Must have general knowledge of the oil and gas industry
  • Willing to frequently travel throughout the Permian and Delaware Basins (West Texas and New Mexico)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to effectively interact with contractors, vendors, and personnel at all levels of the organization
  • Can exercise independent judgment, professionalism, and discretion while performing duties
  • Good organization and time management skills, able to prioritize workload
  • Must be driven, self-motivated, and possess a strong work ethic
  • Flexible, can easily handle changes to HSE program requirements and organizational policies
  • Proficient working in Microsoft 365 applications and can quickly learn other work-related software
  • Able to safely perform duties and operate a vehicle during a 12+ hour work shift that will include days, nights, weekends, or holidays
  • Able to safely operate a vehicle day or night, on various road types, and in all weather conditions
