Job Summary (includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned) Supports Calpine's natural gas physical trading and risk management activity. Responsible for trading desk operations. Transacts for short-term and intermediate commodity trading transactions. Specializes in the 30-day spot market. Uses futures and other financial tools as a service for customers and for the internal hedging of deals. Has enough knowledge of gas control, capacity release markets, storage, and pipeline transportation to play a major role in daily sourcing optimization. Also involved in position management, position reconciliation, project-oriented work and deal analysis. For those with emphasis on analytics, assists with developing trading strategies based on fundamental analysis of the market. Job Scope & Technical Excellence
