The Position
2025 Summer Intern - Discovery Oncology Department Summary Different groups in the Discovery Oncology Department work on identifying critical proteins and pathways important for controlling tumor cell growth and death. In addition we work on establishing potential therapeutics that activate or inhibit these pathways in cancer cells. We also investigate molecular mechanisms which regulate sensitivity and resistance to targeted agents to understand drug response in the context of heterogeneity of cancer cells and patients. This internship position is located in South San Francisco, onsite The Opportunity This lab works on Antibody-Drug Conjugates (ADCs) as a modality of targeted therapy for different types of cancers. We focus mainly on breast cancer and certain hematologic malignancies. We are looking for an individual with strong cell biology and biochemistry skills to participate in one of our ADC programs. Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of STATE is $25-$45 hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
