SUMMARY

The primary role of the Product Solutions Engineer is to support the Sales team in delivering temperature-controlled shipping solutions to the customer. The Product Solutions Engineer is responsible for managing customer requirements and expectations from initial engagement through opportunity analysis, product qualification, product/service delivery, and provide post-implementation support. This includes, but is not limited to, remote and in-person customer engagement, technical engineering analysis and solutioning, and troubleshooting customer issues. The Product Solutions Engineer is responsible for evaluating customer-specific operational challenges and developing innovative solutions while working with both local and overseas teams. Other responsibilities include providing voice of customer input to the New Product Development (NPD) team, communicating project needs to internal business teams, and identifying resource and timeline risks to management. Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to empathize with customer needs from a strong technical footing. Must be able to interface with personnel from all levels including Sales, Engineering, Research and Development, Manufacturing, Quality, Marketing, Operations, and Purchasing.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Joins the sales account managers on customer engagement meetings.
  • Engages with customers to understand their specific requirements.
  • Performs engineering calculations and financial analysis for each customer engagement opportunity to support the technical sales cycle.


  • Creates and presents product and technical analysis information to customers.


  • Coordinates and maintains customer opportunity project plans and project budgets with the sales account manager to ensure adherence to timelines, cost constraints and quality standards.


  • Generates quotes and requirements for customization projects and ensures those projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Works with department managers to develop timelines, anticipate project delays and develop expediting plans to bring projects into line with schedules.


  • Actively supports Peli BioThermal's commitment to Quality and all quality objectives.
  • Ensure proper documentation is provided or generated to satisfy customer requirements.
  • Leverages past experience and strong communication skills to collaborate closely with sales, engineering, project managers, quality, supply chain, and operations to meet ambitious customer delivery timelines.
  • Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook, AWAIR and/or applicable employment agreement. Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.



JOB REQUIREMENTS



  • Requires a Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of related engineering experience, an engineering-specific bachelor's, or a Master's degree.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent documentation and organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills and have a creative approach for new ideas.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Experience with SolidWorks or equivalent CAD program.
  • Knowledge of heat transfer mechanisms.
  • Ability to perform energy balance calculations.
  • Python and SQL language proficiency.

  • Must have the ability to complete assignments within the timeframe specified by the Manager.

  • Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be able to travel, nationally and internationally, as necessary.



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS



  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to execute non-standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch).
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • This position requires repetitive hand/wrist activities.



Compensation & Benefits:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across severalU.S. geographic markets. Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on your qualifications, job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. The approximate base compensation range is shown below. The actual offer may vary based on skills, experience and location.
