Field/Facilities Attendant

The Ball State University Sports Facilities department has an opportunity for 2nd shift Field/Facilities Attendant on the beautiful Ball State University campus. Under supervision, perform duties related to maintaining and cleaning the Physical Education and Athletic Facilities complying with appropriate regulations and codes.

1.High School diploma or equivalent ( GED).

1.One year of either custodial experience or grounds experience required.
3.Must possess and maintain a valid Drivers License and be insurable under the University's auto fleet policy.
4.Must be able to read and comprehend all specified policies and procedures for safety, hazardous materials information, and University policies and procedures, communications, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
5.Must be able to perform all mental and physical requirements as outlined in each job duty.
6.Must possess or obtain fork lift certification within a reasonable time period as determined by Ball State University if the position requires it.
7.Must possess or obtain aerial work platform certification within a reasonable time period as determined by Ball State University if the position requires it.
8. Must be 18 years or older.

Perform duties related to maintenance and cleaning of Physical Education and Athletic Facilities, includes the upkeep of floor fixtures, swimming balconies, courts, lavatories, offices, trash disposal, sweeping and/or shoveling sidewalks, and changing lamps and tubes in light fixtures.

Prepare set-ups and take down equipment as assigned.
