Global Systems Engineering (GSE)is a HUBZone small business that supports the federal government with a variety of high-end technical and engineering services. GSE is currently seeking a Network/Systems Engineer to join the Cybersecurity Assurance team. This position is dedicated to securing IT and OT networks by conducting diagnostics, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing robust protective measures. The Network/Systems Engineer will play a critical role in designing secure architectures, improving network performance, and ensuring robust data protection measures across integrated environments.

The role involves significant collaboration with ICS/SCADA experts and energy professionals, ensuring seamless integration of IT/OT security protocols while maintaining system efficiency. This position supports U.S. Army installations and requires extended travel to CONUS locations.

To be qualified, the candidate MUST be a U.S. citizen and possess an active Secret Clearance with the ability to receive a Top Secret Clearance with SCI access.

Responsibilities:



  • Conduct network diagnostics and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks.


  • Collaborate with ICS/SCADA experts to align IT/OT security protocols and ensure seamless integration.


  • Implement and monitor encryption protocols to enhance data security across networks.


  • Assist with disaster recovery planning and implementation for critical infrastructure systems.


  • Ensure compliance with applicable cybersecurity policies, including RMF.


  • Design and deploy scalable network solutions to support mission-critical operations.


  • Provide technical guidance to ensure secure data flow and connectivity across systems.



Required Qualifications:



  • B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.


  • CCNA or equivalent certification.


  • 5+ years of experience in network diagnostics, security, and administration.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Advanced certifications such as CISSP, CCIE, or equivalent.


  • Experience with IT/OT integration within military installations or utility environments.


  • Hands-on experience with network monitoring and management tools.


  • Expertise in implementing advanced threat detection and mitigation techniques.
