Job Description

What is the opportunity?

As an Operations team lead in the Retirement Plan Operations team, provide training, coaching, and work direction for Operations Associates supporting time sensitive, complex exception-based and/or highly specialized processes. You will also support escalated complex customer service situations, complete process oversight, support new initiative/process implementation, and provide department processing back-up support when needed.

What will you do?

  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Retirement Plan Operations team processes; Providing training, coaching, and work direction for Operations Associates
  • Support escalated issues, time sensitive, complex, exception-based and/or highly specialized processes
  • Assist in department oversight to ensure adherence to department procedures, risks are mitigated, and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Provide backup when support is needed for high quarterly volumes as well as during absences.
  • Mentor and provide on-the-job performance coaching.
  • Provide detailed daily oversight and act as a backup for WSP support.
  • Support all phone queues to ensure SLAs are being met in times of increased volume.
  • Ensure manuals are accurate and updated as policies and procedures change.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 4-year degree from an accredited university or equivalent OR High school diploma or equivalent AND 3+ years of job-related experience in the operations for a mutual fund trading team
  • 1+ year prior securities, banking, technology and/or job specific related industry experience
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and provide clear work direction to others; Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced and deadline driven environment with high attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality. Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management
  • Computer skills in Microsoft-based products including Word, Excel and Outlook

Nice-to-have

  • 4-year degree from an accredited university in business, finance, or related field
  • 3+ years business, finance, customer service and/or accounting/bookkeeping experience
  • Previous experience in the securities or banking industry preferred

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $45,000 - $75,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
