Senior Programmer Analyst

As a Senior Programmer Analyst you will be responsible for the applications supporting operations at our East Liverpool, Ohio facility. You will execute enhancements, provide support, and perform upgrades to the core applications while working closely with the Plant management team and the extended Company IT team.

Essential Functions & Requirements:




  • Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
  • Ensures ARTS and related applications continue to support and meet business needs, maintaining flexibility as needs shift
  • Creates and supports application code, database procedures and triggers
  • Develops application functionality based on user requests and business needs; performs feasibility studies including cost-benefit analysis and timeline estimation
  • Devises and executes unit, integration, and user tests to ensure software quality and functionality
  • Performs upgrades to the application environment and proposes and / or implements improvements to existing systems and processes
  • Diagnoses and troubleshoots issues, providing technical support for software applications
  • Maintains accurate documentation, including source code and writes complex queries for reporting
  • Stays abreast of new technology trends or best practices to support the overall objectives of the organization
  • Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization


Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, math or related field (required)

Experience:



  • 4+ years of experience using Genero 4J / VisualBasic / C# / .Net (required)
  • 4+ years of relational database experience (required); experience in Informix, Oracle or SQL (preferred)
  • Previous Network Admin or DBA experience (preferred)

  • Excellent problem resolution, judgement and decision-making skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels within the organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to both lead and work within a team environment
  • Regular and predictable attendance to perform the essential functions and requirements of this role
