National Grid Ventures (NGV) is looking for a knowledgeable, curious, and driven Principal System Planning Engineer to join our Grid Integration and System Planning Team. This individual will support our NGV projects by carrying out transmission analysis and working with interconnection interfaces in NYISO and ISO-NE. They will ensure that work products are generated to provide sufficient decision-making information to management and to effectuate the interconnection of projects the transmission system. This role will provide support to key initiatives including offshore wind, to support NGV's growth and partnerships throughout the Northeast US. Key Accountabilities
* Perform, lead, or facilitate engineering and transmission assessments and analyses. Qualifications
* Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or related technical fields. Power systems focus desired. More Information Salary New England MA: $162,000 - $190,000 a year Downstate NY: $173,000 - $203,000 a year This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
