Job Details

The Financial Analyst II will be responsible for performing various financial analyses for Cencora's Health Systems & Government Services business segment as well as supporting other sales & business unit functions. Provides financial reporting to management to ensure revenues and expenses are monitored and operational issues relative to finance are highlighted and addressed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly estimates, the annual budget (fiscal year plan), and the 5-year long-range plan.

  • Update monthly forecasts in Oracle EPM to ensure an accurate forecast for revenue and gross profit.

  • Analyze monthly financial statements, including gross profit components, for the HGS (Health Systems & Government Services) Business Unit.

  • Prepare and present monthly financial analysis and reports to Senior Leadership.

  • Assist with monthly revenue, gross profit, and operating income variance commentary.

  • Collaborate with business partners and stakeholders regarding projection creation and variance analysis to ensure accurate forecasts, achieve financial goals, and assist with setting long-term strategies and initiatives.

  • Maintain up-to-date customer hierarchy in Oracle EPM.

  • Analyze product mix and dynamics, customer profitability, and market share for key business drivers and trends.

  • Collaborate with the Commercial Finance, Pricing, and Commercial Advancement teams to provide financial analysis as needed.

  • Strive for continuous process improvement in assigned areas.

  • Perform related duties as assigned.

  • Generate ad hoc analysis reports as needed.

Education and Work Experience

Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year Bachelor's Degree program, technical vocational training, or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires a minimum of 2+ directly related and progressively responsible experience.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Knowledge of various financial management areas such as credit and collection principles, commercial credit, uniform commercial code, financial statement analysis, business law, plan development, productivity and profitability analysis.

  • Working knowledge of accounting and planning software packages.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills

  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail

  • Ability to follow and interpret profit and loss statements

  • Ability to implement processes resulting in satisfactory audit practices

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Oracle EPM is preferred, but not required.
