General Maintenance Worker

Location: The Richard Nixon Library & Museum, Yorba Linda, CA 92886

Position Type: Full-Time

Pay: $23.45/hr. Health and Welfare is $4.93/hr

ESSENTIAL TASK(S)

The General Maintenance Worker performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Work involves a variety of the following duties: replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors, using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings, repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets painting structures and equipment; repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks, replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles, hanging doors and installing door locks, replacing broken window panes, and performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery. This position must be on-site full time. Willing to assist in other trades when they are in need of assistance.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Possess (5) years of experience in performing building maintenance at a facility of the same size and scope.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Valid Drivers License

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Significant standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing, and pulling. Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to pass a security background investigation.
• Ability to pass drug screening.
