Description
The Senior Data Architect provides overall leadership, direction and guidance in defining an enterprise-level information architecture that effectively supports First Tech's data, reporting, and analytics strategy. This role will provide thought leadership by partnering with resources across IT and business groups to establish and follow standards and best practices that align with governance, quality and enablement program initiatives, as well as with software applications roadmaps.

Job Duties
- Partner with Business Application Owners, Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise Data Warehouse and engineering teams to establish and align data architecture standards to ensure efficient data flow and achieve business objectives
- Lead efforts to enhance data lifecycle processes across business applications, including data creation, movement, and maintenance, to uphold data governance principles.
- Establish, implement and drive the adoption of data architecture standards and data governance principles to drive better business outcomes and cultivate a data-driven organization. Ensure these practices enhance data quality, accessibility, and reliability, thereby supporting informed decision-making and strategic initiatives across the enterprise
- Serve as a trusted advisor to cross-functional teams at all levels on matters related to data architecture, data integrations, and data governance, ensuring the effective utilization and maintenance of corporate data to high standards.
- Drive the utilization of Master Data Management (MDM) data to support business initiatives and improve data quality. Conceptualize and ensure logical and physical data models incorporate reuse and interoperability in its design and supports EDW BI/Analytics and (MDM) modeling best practices.
- Integrate models appropriately across subject areas and ensure transparency to business stakeholders
- Offer hands on analysis where required to support Data Modelers as appropriate
- Provide data design direction and approvals to data modelers and developers
- Engage with stakeholders to define data requirements and ensure that data models and Data Engineering patterns, standards, guidelines, and best practices support ease of data consumption by federated analyst community
- Partner with Information Governance Lead and cross functional leaders in creation / implementation of Enterprise Data Strategy, Data Security, Artificial Intelligence Strategy
- Partner with the Data Quality Program Lead to identify data architecture-related Data Quality improvements within the Enterprise Data Warehouse and drive back issues to the source system where appropriate for resolution
- Partner with EDW Product Owner to ensure processes and role-based user access model adheres to governance and security policies
- Simplify and optimize existing data architectures for reuse, scalability, connectedness, user adoption, and cost savings
Essential Skills
- Minimum 7 years' experience implementing enterprise-level data strategies including logical data modeling, physical data modeling and database design optimization and data security
- Minimum 5 years' MS SQL experience with strong data modeling background
- Minimum 5 years of experience with data governance, data integrations, data security, master data management, and data quality
- Minimum 5 years' experience in enterprise data warehouse architecture, methodologies, tools, processes, and best practices
- Experience working with Snowflake is preferred
- Proven ability to create collateral and to articulate strategy of complex concepts into simple solutions
- Demonstrated experience translating complex business and technical challenges into logical data models
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills with excellent attention to detail
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English
- Proven ability to build consensus across multiple stakeholder groups through partnership
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics or related field

Target Compensation in Hillsboro, OR:
$147k - $158k annually + annual bonus
