Primary Function: Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on company vehicles, equipment, pumps, and tools. Duties include but are not limited to: Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on company vehicles, equipment, and tools. Perform minor repairs on all company vehicles, equipment, and tools. Diagnose vehicles and equipment that are malfunctioning and identify the necessary parts required for repair. Coordinate with the shop staff for ordering parts. CDL licenses with Hazmat endorsement is a plus. Perform 500, 1,000, and 2,000 hour services on equipment per manufacturers recommendation and best practices. Complete daily maintenance and repair logs and all service records. Keep mechanics work trucks stocked with commonly used items and keep trucks clean, neat, and orderly. Able to operator heavy machinery. Communicate with equipment operators and gather any information that will assist in the repair and servicing of the vehicle or equipment. Maintain and secure work tools. Clean and maintain work area and clean equipment after service removing grease, fluid spills, and smudges. Tun off and lock out equipment when not in use and install tags. Work in accordance with the Company Safety Program and bring to the attention of the foreman any safety violations or concerns.
