We're looking for a motivated and skilled Transportation Civil Project Engineer ready to make a lasting impact across Hawaii. In this role, you'll play a key technical role on exciting projects ranging from highways and roadways to waterfronts and aviation infrastructure. What You'll Do: Design roadway alignments, profiles, utilities, and drainage systems Develop detailed plans, specifications, and cost estimates Perform advanced engineering calculations and craft clear technical reports Support construction with on-site inspections, RFI responses, and submittal reviews Lead small to mid-size tasks independently and serve as a technical expert Help grow client relationships in Hawaii and across the Pacific region Why Join Us? Hawaii PE license strongly preferred or ability to obtain prior to hire. Minimum 4 years of experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm. Experience with AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3d, and Microsoft Office programs. Strong communication and organizational skills. Preference given to local candidates Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree Previous experience in all aspects of roadway engineering design Professional Engineer (PE) license Hands-on experience with Highways and Roads CAD engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and Open Roads Designer and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3d MS Office knowledge Excellent communication and organizational skills Experience should include urban and rural highway interchanges, intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning, site planning, preparation of concept alignments, geometrical layout and CAD base alignment plans An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We Believe HDR is our company. The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
