Job Summary

The Materials & Inventory Process Improvement Leader will be responsible for leading the materials management and inventory transformation for the PFT (Process Flow Technologies) business. They will interact with plant and materials managers, as well as their direct reports in improving the materials and inventory control operations for their respective sites. Key performance indicators for this position will include inventory turns, on-time shipping, past due backlog, inventory accuracy, net working capital, etc.

Responsibilities


  • Working across the region in the training, deployment and implementation of enterprise-wide Materials Standard Work.

  • Develop and act upon a regional inventory reduction plan that will both increase inventory turns, while also improving service to our customers.

  • Engage in and coach local teams on daily management and problem solving

  • Work with sites to develop a robust inventory control process to include a plan that works towards and/or sustains physical inventory exemption.

  • Interact with the global organization on best practice sharing.

  • Participate in and support SIOP and PSI processes for each site.

  • Work with sites and cross-functional teams to execute on E&O reduction initiatives.



Basic Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain or business. MBA desirable.

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in operations, supply chain, inventory management, inventory control, MRP and lean manufacturing processes.

  • Operational continuous improvement (i.e. six sigma and/or lean manufacturing).

  • Significant Experience with SAP (expert level)

  • Significant experience with data analytics using excel, Power BI, tableau, Qlik, or other similar software or tools.

  • APICS Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) (Preferred)

  • Prior Materials Management experience (Preferred)



Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

This is an on-site position with potential travel 25%.

  • Must be proficient in information technology systems utilized in Materials Management.

  • Capable of developing strategic plans around improving service and inventory turns.

  • Experience working on NPD initiatives as it relates to material planning, PIPO, etc.
