Description

We are hiring a Customer Experience Project Manager-Operations represent Steelcase Operations internally and externally on our largest, most operationally complex customer projects. This Premier Experience Project Manager is responsible for the overall operational success of their projects and when done correctly, gives Steelcase a strong competitive advantage over our competitors.

Who you are:

Minimum Qualifications:

*Bachelor's Degree, Business Administration/Project Management Preferred

*Minimum of 5 years proven project management skills and working with external customers

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • -Serve as a collaborative integrator, providing leadership among internal teams, dealers, and customers

  • -Ability to communicate confidently to all levels at the dealership, the customer, and at Steelcase

  • -Strong use of project management methodologies and tools, detail oriented

  • -Ability to keep others accountable, demonstrating persistence and assertiveness when needed

  • -Ability to respond to customers' needs with a sense of urgency and CARE (Collaborate, Anticipate, Responsive, Empathetic)

  • -Strong business acumen and ability to think strategically

  • -Knowledge of Steelcase internal departments and processes (order fulfillment, specials, manufacturing, pricing, logistics, installation, and project management).

  • -Curiosity to understand root cause and ability to quickly resolve problems and issues with systemic, sustainable solutions

What you will be doing:

  • -Represent Steelcase operations to customers and dealers in projects where critical project management and broad operations expertise is needed to ensure an unparalleled customer experience.

  • -Handle customer concerns relative to all aspects of operations, including an onsite presence at times; engaging in the quality, delivery, and service experience.

  • -Handle issues beyond standard dealer capabilities or beyond normal operations processes.

  • -Provide proactive project management, risk mitigation, and cross functional team direction in executing the customer experience playbook.

  • -Drive long term corrective action with necessary functions and process improvements within and outside of Steelcase operations.

  • -Ability to think strategically, share vision, and develop a tactical game-plan that meets the dealer and customer needs while leveraging operational efficiencies. When role is executed effectively, this gives Steelcase a strong competitive advantage.

  • -Ability to foresee gaps and develop and implement contingency plans as needed
