What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for planning and executing lab testing.
  • Schedule, review, and coordinate lab testing tasks and handle analysis requests.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of testing standards, Lab safety procedures & Company guidelines; provide suggestions and recommendations as needed.
  • Knows and enforces compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Drives and contributes to the company's continuous improvement culture.
  • Ensures that all lab tests and reports comply with any regulatory or legal requirements.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all matters.
  • Lab safety adherence and maintain all SDS records for the utilized chemicals.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • 1 year of experience in a lab environment
  • Hands on experience in metallurgy and metallographic sample preparation.
  • Experience with sample cutting and general machinery.
  • Experience with metallographic microscope & materials analysis.
  • Basic knowledge of abrasion and wear testing.
  • Basic knowledge of ASTM standards.
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Strong math and analytical skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Metallurgy skill.
  • Abrasion, wear, corrosion & Erosion laboratory test skill.
  • Detail and results oriented. Ability to work under pressure
  • Must be self-starter and able to work without constant supervision
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or materials engineering
