Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced
Senior Systems Administrator with specialized expertise in OpenText systems. The ideal candidate will develop and implement technical solutions for large-scale OpenText Content Server systems and associated software. The role involves designing, planning, and coordinating work for complex OpenText solutions, integrating various products like Content Server, App Works, Intelligent Capture, and Ready Series. You will be responsible for supporting and maintaining these systems in a multi-tenant Government environment, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance. This position is off-site, requiring both local and remote maintenance support across multiple locations.
Responsibilities
- Develop technical solutions for large-scale OpenText Content Server and associated software solutions.
- Integrate and optimize Content Server, App Works, Intelligent Capture, and other specialized OpenText products to meet complex functional requirements.
- Architect and design end-to-end solutions to meet business needs while ensuring high system performance and scalability.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project team members, particularly in complex application features and technical designs.
- Lead planning, development, installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of software systems and network communications.
- Handle connectivity issues, perform vulnerability management, and resolve end-user software program issues.
- Ensure stable operation of OpenText and associated software systems, ensuring fault tolerance and load balancing.
- Provide end-user training and ongoing support for OpenText systems.
- Recommend technology solutions and direction in alignment with business needs.
- Support new installs, upgrades, and maintenance of servers and applications across various locations.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, particularly in environments containing PII, PHI, and HIPAA information.
Education and Experience
- Ten (10) years of progressive experience in the field of Information Processing, six of which are specialized in concentrated, hand-on experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and resolving issues with OpenText software.
- Six (6) years of experience in OpenText systems containing PII, PHI, and HIPPA information in a multi-tenant Government environment.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Required Skills
- Deep expertise in OpenText Content Server, AppWorks, Intelligent Capture, and Ready Series.
- Proficient in application networking, load balancing, fault tolerance, and network software optimization.
- Strong troubleshooting and system support capabilities, including vulnerability management.
- Ability to design and implement complex system features and integrations.
Desired Skills
- 15 years of progressive experience in Information Processing.
- At least 10 years of hands-on experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting OpenText software.
- 10 years of experience managing OpenText systems containing PII, PHI, and HIPAA information in a multi-tenant Government environment.

- Experience with System Administration of the ReadyDocs Solution (RDSYS).
- Strong understanding of complex, multi-system architectures and their integration.
- Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking.
- Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.
- Strong leadership and mentorship abilities for guiding junior team members
