The Position
2025 Summer Intern - Neuroscience - Translational Neuroscience The Neuroscience department is focused on studying the biology of neurodegenerative diseases and translating these findings into therapeutics for the treatment of neurological disorders. The Translational Neuroscience group provides in vivo support for drug development. We characterize mouse models of neurodegenerative disease including Alzheimer's, Parkinson's disease and ALS. We are seeking a talented and highly motivated summer intern to join our lab investigate the effects of TAR DNA binding protein 43 (TDP43) deletion on cellular homeostasis (RNA spicing), neuroinflammation, and development of motor deficits in this mouse model of ALS. Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $25-$45 hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
