Human Resource Generalist

Plascore has an opening for a Human Resource Generalist. They will need to represent the primary contact for employees on issues regarding policies and procedures in support of all team leaders and the Human Resources Manager. They will provide guidance, counsel, and problem-solving support to team leaders, teams, and individuals. Schedule: Monday - Friday 8AM to 5PM

Key Responsibilities:



  • Maintain all HR policies and assist in interpretation while ensuring compliance to all governmental requirements and regulations. Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services.
  • Maintains the HR portion of the payroll software.
  • Collaborate with managers/supervisors to understand details surrounding unemployment claims and respond within the required timeframe.
  • Other general administrative duties (reconcile benefits accounts; approve benefit bills; work with COBRA administrator).
  • Oversee uniform and apparel management.
  • Plan and run corporate employee events.
  • Examines employee files to answer inquiries and provides information to authorized persons.
  • Compiles data from personnel records and prepares reports.
  • Assist with employee relations discussions investigations and performance evaluations.
  • Assists in preparing employee separation notices and related documentation and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
  • Review and respond to unemployment inquiries.
  • Provide the customer with best value including cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Handle internal and external questions in a prompt professional manner.
  • Always maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Continually look for ways to improve job efficiency and performance.
  • Perform all reasonably related duties as assigned.



Qualifications:



  • Three to five years of progressively more responsible experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or other related field preferred.
  • Must be able to work well independently and be self-directed
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
