Department OverviewA laboratory organization responsible for the prototyping utilizing 3D printing, CNC machining, and hand fabrication. Job Description

This is an internship role in support of the rapid prototype center.In the rapid prototype center specialist role, the intern would work with the engineering teams in developing the models utilized in future products using 3D printing technologies. Opportunities to learn 3D CAD modeling, CNC machining, laser cutting, project management and spray finishing. Projects can vary from part concepts to reworking existing products. Projects will be quick turn around, hands on, with exposure to various techniques.

Desired Requirements:

  • Possess analytical/problem-solving skills, and the ability to use statistical tools and techniques.

  • Able to solve challenging problems involving testing, planning, and implementation of new methods.

  • Basic computer skills and working knowledge of common office tools (i.e Excel, Word, etc).

Basic Requirements
  • Working towards a Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering.

  • Must Graduate on or after December 2025.

  • You are a U.S. Citizen, U.S. permanent resident or possess other unrestricted US work authorization.
