Job Summary:



Supports/Assists imaging, diagnostic, and interventional procedures to diagnose and treat cardiac and/or vascular conditions per applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Prepares patients for procedures by reviewing medical history, draping and positioning the patient, preparing procedural/testing sites, and administering contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice.
  • Assists the physician with performing diagnostic and therapeutic interventional procedures. Supports/assists related imaging procedures. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues.
  • Informs patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding. Seeks assistance related to changes in patient condition changes status.
  • Prepares equipment and supplies. Select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
  • Apply radiation safety standards and report equipment malfunctions.



Work Location:



Onsite- this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Highlands Ranch, CO.

Qualifications:



Minimum Qualifications:



  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Program.
  • 2 years of experience with interventional procedures.
  • AART certification.


A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Associate's degree.
  • Interventional Certification, either CV or VI.
  • Radiation Technology experience.
  • Kronos, Epic, and HealthStream Experience.


Conditions of Employment:



  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross healthcare provider-level CPR certification.
  • Interventional Certification, either CV or VI, obtained within 1 year of employment.
  • Maintains all required licensure and certifications for the position.
  • Must be able to work in person.
  • Must be able to travel to alternate locations as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels, including physicians, leadership, and staff within the various affiliate organizations (UCH, Children's Colorado, CU Medicine, CU SOM).
  • Ability to work within large, complex healthcare systems.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data.
  • Ability to compose letters and memorandums.
  • Ability to deal calmly and courteously with people
  • Ability to deal with stressful situations

Anticipated Pay Range:



The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as

$37.59 per hour.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
