Job Summary

The Physician Recruitment Coordinator contributes to the overall success of the Physician Recruitment Department by providing a high level of administrative support, customer service and project coordination throughout the recruitment and onboarding process.

Essential Functions

  • Launches, coordinates and tracks the credentialing and onboarding processes to ensure smooth and timely provider starts. Gathers and provides the candidate's information for departments such as CVO,HR, MSO, Managed Care, Employee Health. Assists in gathering credentialing documents as needed. Communicates credentialing status to stakeholders.
  • Schedules employee health screens, launches background checks and shares results with medical staff, performs other tasks as required for onboarding.
  • Coordinates and communicates new hire and orientation tasks to include Epic testing and scheduling if needed, orientation scheduling/emails, systems access and troubleshooting, badging issues.
  • Processes candidate expenses and recruitment meals for reimbursement after interview visit and house hunting trip. Processes relocation reimbursement.
  • Coordinates logistics of house hunting trips to include hotel accommodations, air travel, local transportation and appointment with realtor if needed. Assists new hire with relocation process.
  • Assists Physician Recruitment Department by receiving incoming calls and emails, providing general support for interviewing and onboarding questions and processes.
  • Maintains vendor relationships with local real estate agents, moving companies and lodging personnel. Secures competitive rates, and keeps management informed of the status of vendor services and costs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

  • This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education - High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience - 3 years of experience in a healthcare recruiting or credentialing setting, demonstrated ability to independently coordinate recruitment/onboarding and move providers through the hiring and credentialing process.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier)
  • Proficient computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, database). Publishing product preferred (Adobe)
  • Data entry skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively take action to solve problems while exhibiting sound judgment and successful stress tolerance
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, multi-task, meet deadlines and prioritize, with little or no supervision. Demonstrates initiative; must be able to anticipate needs and flex accordingly
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
