The Vice President of Strategic Portfolio and Capability leads the development of integration strategy, planning and execution from business case development to execution and post-closing value capture, working closely with Technology Initiatives and integration programs.

Present summary integration plans and report progress and key metrics to senior management

Develop and communicate current and future integration process standards, best practices and guidelines across transactions; support the buildout of repeatable processes and tools for capability delivery & integration

Leads evaluation of new projects in collaboration with stakeholders, leadership and corporate partners to design solutions that meet the business need

Establishes and leads complex interconnected project workstreams, project plans and deliverables, cross functional and organizational alignment, and project governance and steering teams

Supports planning, directing and coordination of day-to-day activities of running a project management office

Drives adherence to Program/Project Management standards. Act as a point of contact for PMO standards-related queries, ensuring consistency across the book of work

Develop and enforce governance policies to ensure program/project alignment with business objectives

Develop and implement strategies for the continuous monitoring and evaluation of programs and projects including risk management

Build, maintain, and manage all stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation, and issue management to ensure deliverables are met

Engage with Sales and Product & Operating partners to ensure accurate pipeline reporting. Lead the capacity planning process - determining capacity requirements, analyzing current capacity and planning for the future

Define, implement, and continuously improve the Insurance Pillar strategic planning process, ensuring strategic objectives and priorities are translated into measurable operational and financial goals

Facilitate and drive change management decisions and related processes, manage program and project dependencies, and align relevant stakeholders, while leading the execution of a large portfolio of programs and projects with diverse scope

Drive accelerated execution of business initiatives while aligning high-demand resources amid conflicting priorities and high amounts of ambiguity and change

Create, maintain, and communicate a 12-month rolling plan of projects and resources providing a financial and operations view of the future for strategic decision making

Collaborate effectively with business partners to drive strong governance and management of portfolio

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience

10+ years' experience with clear progression to senior leadership/management roles, leading and motivating, cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams to achieve strategic goals.

Executive presence and strong verbal, written, and public speaking and presentation skills, for both internal and external audiences.

Ability to effectively identify problem areas and requisite solutions and drive execution of those solutions with positive outcomes

Ability to maintain a sense of urgency, efficiency, and flexibility

Ability to execute a hands-on approach to build credibility, relationships, and knowledge.

Working Conditions

The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust etc.
