As an Account Executive at Optum, you will be supporting our Provider Client Services Team. You will be responsible for consulting directly with clients, ensuring their overall satisfaction in the products and/or services they are utilizing while working to grow and identity areas for expansion.

If you are located in the NE region of the US, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Acts as client-facing, dedicated resource who manages ongoing contract relationships and day-to-day service delivery for up to 40 accounts with direct client contact
  • Responsible for overall client relationship, including retention and growing the Optum footprint
  • Understand client's vision, mission and values and can recognize potential strategic opportunities
  • Builds relationships with Provider leadership and serves as the primary point of contact for overall and day-to-day service delivery
  • Represents client internally and coordinates with other functions to implement client systems, complete projects, and address ongoing service needs
  • Conducts client meetings and internal client team meetings, as needed, or as required
  • Identify client issues/abrasion and positions solutions that meet those needs
  • Liaison to functional areas to address client issues
  • Partner with broad internal team - Sales, Implementation, Product, Support, etc.
  • Analyze and determine client retention risk and issues
  • If risk is identified, work with the functional area to build and manage risk mitigation plan
  • Review and understand solution ROI/value
  • Articulate Optum/UHG value proposition within context of the solution
  • Drive and support Client Planning and ensure execution against Client Plan

Required Qualifications:



  • 1+ years of client facing experience, preferably in the healthcare IT market (e.g., healthcare operations, healthcare analytics, revenue cycle, health information management)
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time across the Northeast US Regional area
  • Currently reside within the NE Region of the US



Preferred Qualifications:



  • 1+ years of experience working with senior level executives in the hospital/provider space
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing client relationships especially with business owners, procurement, and executives
  • Proficient analytical skills with the ability to identify root cause analysis and drive outcomes based on data
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote)
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Experience with Net Promoter Score (NPS)

The salary range for this role is $75,000 to $160,000 annually based on full-time employment. Role is also eligible to receive bonuses based on sales performance. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
