We are currently seeking a Project Construction Manager to support life science projects (lab and manufacturing spaces), building infrastructure (electrical systems - UPS, Generators; switchgear; mechanical systems - air handlers, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, etc; lab equipment and moves - autoclaves, fume hoods, etc; Fire Life Safety Systems - Sprinkler systems, Controls, etc; and building envelope - roofs, pavement, parking structure, etc) to join our Project and Development Services team on our client's life science account at their headquarters in Thousand Oaks, CA. As a Project Construction Manager at JLL, you will be directly responsible for supporting execution of complex project goals through agile and strategic leadership combined with hands-on performance and supervision of various project supervision tasks. Your strong knowledge of construction project processes and safety, from inception to execution and turn over (especially in a highly regulated life science setting) will speak to your holistic approach to client needs. Qualifying Attributes: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field will be preferred. Significant experience with physical construction planning, process and procedure, including safety planning, logistic planning, and site presence/supervision; significant experience demonstrating their advanced construction management skillset and experience managing a variety of construction project activities on a variety of project sizes, types and complexities. Aptitude for performance of various construction management tasks such as lock-out-tag-out (LOTO) as an OSHA-recognized "competent person." Knowledge/experience of laboratories, manufacturing areas and/or MEP building utility and automation systems Must be willing to train and become proficient in Jones Lang LaSalle's and client's project management software's and develop an advanced knowledge of PDS Platform (including, Atlas, One View, Tools, & Templates. Maintain knowledge of interconnection points with other Jones Lang LaSalle Service Lines (e.g. Integrated Facilities Management, Occupancy Planning, Move-Add-Change Projects) and expertise in how to leverage these functions into additional opportunities to serve our clients. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Project software. Demonstrate an ability to negotiate means and methodologies with contractors that align with the client's expectations and specifications as well as aligning with JLL's "Cardinal Rules of Safety.". Demonstrate an ability to develop a continuous improvement and development program for their own growth plan. Responsibilities: Provide site and safety management for projects managed by the JLL PDS Team. This position is a full-time on-site assignment. Assist in preparation (or oversee the preparation) of accurate project documentation for all phases of construction including project schedules, status reports, punch lists, and safety documentation (STA, JHA, LOTO permitting, hot work permitting, etc.), on-time and in accordance with pre-established formats to pass all project documentation reviews with client. Lead teams through established work authorization processes in order to ensure no impacts or incidents within critical environments or equipment.
