Overview
The Program Manager-Clinical Data & Reporting position will hold accountability for the coordination, communication and execution of projects supporting the department strategy roadmap. They will collaborate with the CM Department Managers to develop efficient workflow solutions to meet regulatory requirements and provide quality member outcomes. In conjunction with the Director, Case & Disease Management, the Program Manager-Clinical Data & Reporting will ensure that program timelines and deliverables are communicated and achieved. They will lead project and program management for data collection and analysis to identify opportunities within the case management department. They will lead programs/projects that are focused on an associated set of complementary objectives within an overall mission. They will demonstrate decisive, resourceful, and collaborative expertise that favorably impacts the results of project initiatives and helps to differentiate Independent Health as a leader in providing affordable high-quality health benefit solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. An additional four (4) years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Five (5) years of multi-dimension project management experience required.
- PMI certification preferred. Knowledge of Health Care Operations preferred.
- Leadership experience/responsibilities preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead business/IT based initiatives to a successful outcome.
- Experience with Business Process Management design, implementation, and performance management.
- Experience in project management including the definition of project plans and the supervision of project associates for one or more projects.
- Understanding of project management tools and methodologies (Project Lifecycle, etc.).
- Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of associates across multiple business areas.
- Ability to effectively work and build relationships with Executive and Senior-level management.
- Experience implementing and/or supporting packaged application systems.
- Ability to understand complex business problems and apply cost effective solutions.
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers at all levels.

Essential Accountabilities
Responsible for providing overall leadership to all project deliverables within CM programs. Responsible for developing, communicating, managing, and monitoring an overall program work plan. Responsible for coordinating all project deliverables and ensuring codependent milestones and tasks are appropriately managed. Responsible for synchronized execution to overall program vision. Responsible for working with program sponsors to develop outcome measures for projects and program. Responsible for managing program budget and expenditures. Responsible for working with the SVP, HCS Operations and the Director, Case & Disease Management to ensure that program is managed and communicated using consistent tools (e.g., Project Life-Cycle, Methodologies, Templates, etc.) and that program deliverables are communicated organizationally. Project/Program Management
- Plan, develop, implement, and coordinate programs/projects, typically business critical and large in scope.
- Monitor and direct or perform day-to-day operations of the assigned program to ensure that policies and procedures are being followed, that goals and objectives are met, and that services and projects are being accomplished efficiently and effectively; take corrective action as necessary.
- Oversee programs/projects, provide guidance to project managers as it relates to their respective program, and assist in building a program mindset.
- Lead teams of clinical and administrative professionals to implement identified programs and/or processes. Responsible for facilitating change to ensure efficient and effective operations are maintained.
- Promote horizontal and vertical communications between project teams and the rest of the organization; assist with team and organization interfaces.
- Establish and implement short and long-term goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures; monitor and evaluate program/project effectiveness; effect changes required for improvement.
- Develop and/or facilitate the definition of a business case for project initiatives and enhancements.
- Help to ensure that the program/project/enhancement delivers the anticipated benefits.
- Monitor and stay abreast of technical and operational changes that affect the activities and work processes of the program.
Reporting Data
- Responsible for updating stakeholders on key initiatives and clinical performance programs resulting from utilization data and reports.
- Develop and maintain statistical reporting of clinical outcomes for disease/case management programs.
Relationship Management
- Foster strong customer relations within areas of responsibility and ensure alignment with business process leaders for the relevant process area(s).
- Meet regularly with customers to solicit feedback on customer needs and on the effectiveness of the projects/programs.
- Assist business unit in setting priorities on projects and enhancements.
- Participate in the development of the business and IT plans in support of the business strategy/objectives.
- Facilitate the escalation and resolution of critical issues.
- Review performance metrics and plans for improvements.
Business Process Management
- Identify process improvement/redesign opportunities, document, and redesign business processes as appropriate. Facilitate process change. Facilitate change management.
- Define relevant performance metrics for core business processes and facilitate continuous improvement in business processes.
- Work with business process owners to develop and monitor business process opportunities to drive improvements and reduce costs.

Hiring Compensation Range: $80,000 - $105,000 annually Compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to skills, education, location and experience. In addition to base compensation, associates may be eligible for a scorecard incentive, full range of benefits and generous paid time off. The base salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
