Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Sr. Specialist of Retail Strategy and Capabilities to drive our retail growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, strategy, and operations, preferably within the telecom industry, and will play a key role in enhancing the profitability and efficiency of our retail stores. Based on your experience and evolving business needs, you could be focused on sales planning, revenue growth projects, retail business analytics and strategy, and/or program support.

You'll leverage your critical thinking and problem-solving skills to drive the profitability of the retail sales channel. Your recommendations are based off data, and you can be agile in designing, executing, and prioritizing solutions that drive results. This role reports to the Manager of Retail Strategy & Capabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Revenue Growth Projects:
    • Manage internal revenue growth projects from conception through implementation.
    • Ensure projects are aligned with overall business goals and deliver measurable results.
  • Sales Planning & Business Reviews:
    • Collaborate with sales leaders on monthly goals and regular sales planning and evaluation.
    • Conduct market segmentation and analysis to understand retail consumer behavior and identify growth opportunities.
  • Profitability & Efficiency:
    • Drive profitability of retail stores by identifying and implementing cost-saving measures and operational efficiencies.
    • Continuously evaluate and enhance retail operations to maximize profitability.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Manage stakeholder expectations with clear KPIs, milestones, deadlines, and roadmaps.
    • Communicate progress and insights effectively to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaboration & Support:
    • Collaborate closely with the retail sales team and/or cross-functionals to set and achieve goals.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, strategy, and operations, with increasing responsibility. Experience in the telecom industry is highly preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with a structured approach to solving unique business problems. Must be savvy with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in Tableau and SQL is required, with a strong ability to analyze and visualize data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex data-points into easily consumable insights
  • An enthusiastic "roll up your sleeves" mentality, with a proactive and hands-on approach
  • Ability to work well under pressure, demonstrating high adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Strong project/program management skills and ability to pair strategic thinking with execution excellence
  • Willing to travel up to 25% to be regularly present in the Optimum field across the footprint

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in New York State. Salary ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $77,112.00-$126,684.00/year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
